Group Work at The Real Junk Food Project
Monday 14th January 2019

In December 2018, Empowering Enterprise participants partnered with The Real Junk Food Project to prepare, cook and serve a two-course lunch to service users at Hamoaze House, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Plymouth, Devon. This was a chance for them to develop their teamworking skills, connect with other people in their community and learning cooking skills they have taken back to their own homes. As well as bringing a diverse range of people together to share a healthy meal, The Real Junk Food Project diverts food destined for landfill so it is contributing to a more sustainable food culture.
